Jewelry Care Guide
Sterling Silver
We plate our silver jewelry in Rhodium or 14K/18K Gold which gives it extra shine and durability. All of our sterling silver pieces are stamped with “925”.
HOW TO CARE FOR STERLING SILVER JEWELRY:
Our jewelry is waterproof and designed for everyday wear. These pieces are made to withstand real life, and with proper jewelry cleaning, they will continue to shine.
To prevent Gold plated color from wearing off:
- put on your plated jewelry last, after applying makeup, hairspray and perfumes. When doing chores, take off gold plated jewelry as the strong chemicals in detergents and cleaners can impact the plating.
- Remove before showering to avoid contact with anything containing derivatives of alcohol/ perfume.
- Remove your jewelry before doing any activity that risks physical damage
HOW LONG DOES STERLING SILVER LAST?
Sterling Silver can last a lifetime, but despite our best efforts, it can still get dirty. When the inevitable occurs and you notice your jewelry has darkened or become dull, there is GOOD NEWS! Tarnish is not permanent…AND it is easily removed!
To do this, use a jewelry cloth (not paper towels or toilet paper) to clean your goods.
If you do not have a jewelry cloth on hand, you can use a natural product such as baking soda water paste to rub off the dirty marks on your jewelry.
Focus on maintaining long up-and-down strokes to clean the jewelry. Be sure to use different parts of the cloth to avoid spreading any tarnish.
Freshwater Pearls
We use cultured pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels that we carefully select for our pieces.
HOW TO CARE FOR OUR FRESHWATER PEARLS:
-
Pearls are sensitive so don't forget to treat them with love.
-
Avoid direct contact with chemicals found in perfume or other cosmetics.
-
To help do so, make sure they are the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you take off when you come home.
